Angels, how powerful are they?

So just how powerful are angels?

Here is some battlefield logistics to help determine this:

Isaiah 37:36 - ESV

36 And the angel of the LORD went out and struck down a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

1 angel

185,000 men

1 night = 12hrs (best or worse case depending on your point of view)

Here is the math:

185,000 / 12 = 15416.66 per hour
15416.66 / 60 = 256.94 per minute
256.94 / 60 = 4.28 per second

Thats just one angel !

So how many angels are there ?

Revelation 5:11 - KJV

11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

More math follows (maybe this is a science):

(10,000 x 10,000)+(1000 x 1000)=100,000,000+1,000,000 =101,000,000

Is that 101 million ? Someone please check my math.

101,000,000 x 4.28 = 432,280,000 per second

6,000,000,000 / 432,280,000 = 13.87 seconds

Therefore if they all came they have the power to wipe out the entire population of the planet earth in 13.87 seconds or less.

I know which side I want to be on.

Therefore before any human being decides they want to harm or oppress another they should carefully consider to who it is they will now be held accountable.

The scripture at Isaiah 2:4 indicates this will be the case.

Isaiah 2:4
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people:

This includes Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings, Queens and Dictators.

Have they hurt any subjects of Jesus's Kingdom?

You know the answer.

"A common fear, however, which usually means a common foe, is also, regrettably, the strongest force bringing people together, but in opposition to something or someone. Perhaps there is a hopeful possibility here in the conquest of outer space. Interplanetary activity may give us planetary peace. Once we discover Martian space ships hovering over earth's airspace, we will all come together. "How dare they threaten us like this!" we shall shout, as one, at a really United Nations!"

Lester.B. Pearson - Former Canadian Prime Minister.

"Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. "

Revelation 16:16

Stop believing what you read. Stop believing what you hear.

Believe what you feel.

An Angel is An Angel. A being of goodness. Not related to your God ( or any god ) in any ways.

Angels are good.

No Gods are good.

You're mistaken, my friend.

Angels are the creation of God. God is inherently good. Evil is only the corruption of what was once good, a choice made by free will to be so.

God did not create Evil, Angels who fell did, and then mankind did as well by choice.

The only beings capable of doing evil are spiritual beings as it is a spiritual choice. Angels are capable of evil or Azazel and his troop would not have fallen. Humans are more than capable of it as we see every day in our world. God however is Holy and above all else.

The only way you get to God is through Christ.

The one force that governs the future of all men is free will - this is so because it's God's will to be so. The only choice for us to consider is whether or not we remain true to our own conscience or choose to ignore it. Everyone is capable of discerning right from wrong - and so to deny what we know to be right is to open the door to the deceiver.

their are one hundred trillion angels, by my calculation. but their were even more before the war in heaven. because a third of all angels fell to hell.

Angels are not that powerful. In the Bible, Jacob wrestled an angel for three days. zHe was only a human being. Also, Angels have often been corrupted. the Biblical Apocrepha(thats the stuff that used to be a part of the Bible in the early days of Christianity, but the Church didn't like them so threw them out) talks of Samael, who mated with Lillith to create demons. Not to mention that Genesis talks of the Grigori. the Watchers were five angels whom God left to watch over things, but they became atracted to human women, so they sinned, siring the Nephilim. God was pretty mad at them. He is angry quite often. Then of course, there is the angel known as Lucifer Morningstar. We all know how that ended!
